• "Mythic, poetic, ancient and new, Antistrophe is an answer, in this case, to ideas of agency, the male/female binary and other ideas of love and the nature of storytelling. It seems to me the tragedy of inescapable internalized oppression and would make a beautiful, sad and imagistic play."

  • "It’s new, it’s exciting, it’s refreshing, and most of all it’s got a great message and is unbelievably current. I laughed and I cried and I laughed some more. I’ll be thinking about this piece for a long time to come. Brava!"

After allowing a charming stranger onto her beach, a young woman must fight to maintain propriety over her identity as everything she once found sacred becomes weaponized against her. This Neo-Greek tragedy is a reflection on female sexuality, bodily autonomy, and all the things we hold sacred in a world eager to strip us of our agency.

Antistrophe premiered in 2024 as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival.
